The Real Maestranza’s cultural activities are central to fulfilling its current day purpose of managing its cultural heritage, research and education. Its not-for profit status reflects its centuries-old vocation of serving the public interest.
La actividad cultural de la Real Maestranza es el testimonio vivo de su razón de ser y vocación contemporáneos: una institución cultural sin ánimo de lucro dedicada a la investigación y a la educación.

Grants and Awards
The Real Maestranza promotes excellence in education through providing financial incentives to young students in the region. Each year the most outstanding students are warded grants for their university studies and a prize is awarded to the best university graduate.

Eustory History Competition for Young People
The Real Maestranza organises the annual Eustory History Competition for Young People, in Spain, Portugal and South America. Under the motto “learning through research” the competition aims to foster critical thinking, using history as a vehicle for “understanding differences and overcoming divisions”.

Books
The Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda, in partnership with publishers and other institutions, publishes scholarly works on subjects such as genealogy, heraldry, power élites, chivalry, equestrianism, history of bullfighting, history of Ronda and its surrounding area, etc.

Encounters in Music & Philosophy
This annual three-day event brings together philosophers, musicians and thinkers from various disciplines to explore a selected philosophical theme by relating it to the vast field of music.

Ronda Music Week
An annual programme of Summer concerts designed to offer an historical and contemporary view of music and its relationship to creativity.

Carriage Driving Exhibition
Each year the Real Maestranza in collaboration with the Royal Horse Driving Club of Andalucia and the Ronda Town Hall organises this event which attracts the best horses and carriages from all over Spain and Europe.
