ENCOUNTERS IN MUSIC & PHILOSOPHY
Encuentro Música y Filosofía
Organised in collaboration with the International Ontology Congress, the Encounters are aimed at students, professionals and scholars of music and philosophy.
Since the inaugural meeting in 2004 the annual event has developed into an indispensable link between creators and thinkers about music. Participants include academics, philosophers, researchers, performers and musical creators from Spain and abroad, meeting under the joint direction of the composer Tomás Marco and the philosopher Víctor Gómez Pin.
Composers such as Hugues Dufourt, Joan Guinjoan, Mestres Quadreny, José María Sánchez Verdú or Mauricio Sotelo and philosophers such as Javier Echevarría, Agustín García Calvo, Gotzon Arrizabalaga or Francis Wolff, among others, have participated together with outstanding performers such as Marcel Peres, Carlos Mena, Pilar Jurado, Carlos Álvarez, Ruggiero Raimondi or José Antonio Montaño.
