EQUESTRIAN GALLERY ROOM

Galería Ecuestre y Picadero

In this gallery there is a reproduction of a relief from the 5th century BC. depicting a dismounted Iberian horseman piercing the fallen enemy with his lance. A work that reflects how the horse was considered an element of prestige among riders belonging to the aristocracy, when cavalry did not yet exist as such.

The space is located inside the main covered Dressage Ring of the Real Maestranza’s riding school. On occasion, the visitor has the opportunity to witness the daily exercises of the students with their horses.
